As Chair of The Somerset Strategic Partnership (SSP) I have much pleasure in inviting you to Somerset’s annual business conference. The Somerset in Business Conference is the most important event of its type in Somerset's business calendar.
The theme of the conference, “Investing in Somerset” has been chosen to reflect the increasing need to raise the profile of Somerset as a key business location to entrepreneurs from across the UK and beyond. The Into Somerset (Inward Investment) team will be briefing you on the marketing of Somerset , inviting you to become an Ambassador for the County and providing you with your marketing “kit” so that you are fully briefed prior to the formal Launch of Somerset and the Into Somerset Company to the audience outside of Somerset after Christmas.
The programme will include the results of extensive market research and a specially commissioned video interview with Somerset’s own Deborah Meaden from BBC’s Dragon's Den. A series of presentations by business personalities in Somerset keen to share their views of Somerset as a place to do business will lead into a Q&A panel session for delegates to share their views on how to maximise opportunities in the current environment.
